Teaching
Teaching means setting knowledge in motion – questioning it, examining it, and taking our thinking further, together.
I. Teaching Philosophy
Teaching is understood as a collaborative scholarly engagement with the subject matter. Its purpose is not the reproduction of established knowledge, but the cultivation of theoretical judgement, methodological precision and intellectual independence. Academic education emerges where complex texts, competing theoretical positions and conceptual controversies are approached with intellectual discipline and critical rigour.
My teaching combines clearly structured lectures with seminar-based discussion. It presupposes thorough preparation on the part of students and regards sustained engagement with primary literature as the principal setting for the development of academic judgement. Seminars are not intended to repeat existing knowledge, but to examine, challenge and refine theoretical arguments through critical discussion. High academic standards, methodological discipline, intellectual responsibility and a respectful scholarly dialogue constitute the foundation of my teaching. Students are challenged and supported in equal measure.
Teaching, invited lectures and specialised professional training are offered nationally and internationally, both in person and online.
